WE Fest XII - May 22-26, 2008 - Wilmington, NC

About

WE Fest

WE Fest is a multi-day, totally DIY, volunteer-run extravaganza that always takes place during the week of Memorial Day Weekend. The first WE Fest was held in 1996 and since then, indie bands of all shapes, sizes, colors, and sounds have played this Fest, made friends, and gone home to network, share gigs, keep in touch, and make WE Fest part of their lives.  Past participants have included The Dismemberment Plan, Lamb of God, Discount (Alison Mosshart before The Kills), Mae, Ernie Brooks, The Mooney Suzuki, xbxrx, Colin Gimore, The Damn Personals (Anthony Rossomando before The Libertines and Dirty Pretty Things), Frank Moore, Cory Branan, Mike Errico, Three Cornered Season (who became Asobi Seksu), Val Emmich, Dufus, Pattern Is Movement, ASG, The Negatones, Tris McCall, Tom House, Tracy Shedd, The Mountain Brothers, and many, many more.

For the first year in our long tradition, we are accepting sponsorships from companies who don't suck, and we are no longer automatically disqualifying bands who have major label ties.
